Angier – Marilyn Kuiken Bechtle, 79, passed away on Friday at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. A native of Hawthorne, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late, Edward H. Kuiken and Gertrude Riskey Kuiken. A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. A burial will be held at a later date at George Washington Memorial Cemetery in Paramus, New Jersey. Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Deborah Nelson and husband, Gary of Angier, Mary McKibbins and husband, John W. Foy of Toms River, NJ; son, John Bechtle and wife, Sherri of Vernon, NJ; grandchildren, Suzanne Matthews and husband, Bryan of Angier, April McKibbins of New York State, Darryl Nelson and wife, Amanda of Anchorage, AK, Tiffany Bechtle of Vernon, NJ; great-grandchildren, Briana Nicole Wise, Gavin Nelson, Makayla Nelson, Rebekah Matthews and Kannika Nelson. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, John F. Bechtle and a sister, Linda Mills. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park Suite 10 Raleigh, NC 27615 in Marilyn’s memory.
