Marjorie Young Hicks

CLAYTON –Marjorie Young Hicks, 90, passed away at Springbrook Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on Sunday. Born in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Young and Claudia Stancil Young. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 4 at 11:00 am at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Angier. Burial will follow the service at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Marjorie is survived by her daughters, Terry Dickerson of Monroe; Wendy Hartwig of Burgaw; son, Timothy Grimes and daughter-in-law, Betty Grimes, both of Willow Spring; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Grimes; second husband, Hap Hanson, and third husband, Robert Hicks; daughters, Denise G. Dorman and Dawn Dixon. Flowers are welcome, or in lieu, contributions may be made to the Springbrook Activities Department at Springbrook Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at 195 Springbrook Ave, Clayton, NC 27520.
