Marlene Dickerson Macon

GARNER – Marlene Dickerson Macon, 85, died Thursday. Born in Rocky Mount, NC, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Theo Belle Young Dickerson. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Sunday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Saturday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Survivors include her sons, Edwin J. Macon and wife, Leslie of Lenoir and William T. “Billy” Macon and wife, Pam of Clayton; grandchildren, Cameron, Mallory, Kyndall, Sydney and Sloane. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Macon, Sr. and her son, Robert Macon, Jr. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer UMC, 6020 Rock Quarry Rd., Raleigh, NC 27610.
