Marsha Worthy

RALEIGH - Marsha Worthy, born August 25, 1956, passed away at her home in the company of her loving husband of forty-seven years on March 18, 2025. Born in Houston, Texas to the late Dale Charles Rieck and Teresita Feliciano Gonzalez, Marsha will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Marsha is preceded in death by her brother, Clayton Allen Rieck; and her son, Brian Worthy.

Marsha is survived by her dedicated husband, Michael Gerard Worthy; her sons, Christopher Michael Worthy and Kevin William Worthy; her brother, Dale Charles Rieck; her sister, Anita Russell; and her loving grandchildren Gwyneth Belle Worthy and Maxwell Donovan Worthy.

Marsha was a devoted and loving wife to her husband, and a doting and caring mother to her children and grandchildren, cherishing time spent with family above all else. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life such as going out to eat at restaurants, going to see a movie, or taking a family trip to the beach.

Whatever the activity, the only thing that truly mattered to her was time spent with those she loved most in the world, her family. A kind and caring soul, she sought only to love and care for others, and the world is a much better place for having her.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary Mother of the Church Catholic Parish of Garner, 1008 Vandora Springs Road, Garner, NC 27529 on Thursday, March 27th, 2025, with an inurnment at the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church Columbarium, 625 Magdala Place, Apex, NC 27502, following the mass. A reception will be held that afternoon at The Pavilion at Carriage Farms located at 1913 Pagan Road, Raleigh, NC 27603 beginning at 1:00pm.

Flowers are welcome, as are donations to The Salvation Army of Wake County or to St. Mary Mother of the Church Catholic Parish.
