Marshalene Lee Barefoot

RALEIGH. - Marshalene Lee Barefoot, 82, passed away Monday. A native of Harnett County, she was the daughter of the late Marshall Lee and Bertie Young Lee Haire. An active member of First Baptist Church of Garner, she was a member of the Hannah Sunday School Class and the Senior Choir. She enjoyed being a part of the widows support group and the Wednesday night cooking committee. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie D. Barefoot, Sr., a grandson, Jonathan Lucas and a brother Gordon Ray Haire. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Garner. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. Survivors include daughters, Judy Register Lucas and husband, Randy of Benson, Ellen Barefoot English of Raleigh, Marsha Barefoot Winbourne and husband, Curt of Wilson, and Pamela Ray Barefoot of Raleigh; sons, Worth Lee Register and wife, Barbara Register of Raleigh, Samuel Vinson Barefoot and wife, Pamela Rogers Barefoot of Thomasville and Johnnie Dawes Barefoot, Jr. and wife, Gail Barefoot of Clayton; grandchildren, Karen and Kevin Register, Chad, Alison, Mary Caroline, and Keith Barefoot, Michael and Elizabeth Lucas, Tyler and Anderson Winbourne; great-grandchildren, Salma and Sienna Salem and Jackson Curlee. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Tuesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
