Martin F. Plute

Martin F. Plute, 73, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2020. He was the son of the late Truman (Wright) and Martin F. Plute, Sr. Born in Cooper, Texas, he was a long time resident of Clayton, NC. Marty was involved in manufacturing for more than 30 years. He was an entrepreneur, innovator and author as well as a primary leader of tool management system development since 1979. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carolyn (Rolph); children, Kathy Wilkens, Chris (Angela) Plute, Mark Plute and Allison (Michael) Wasle; grandchildren, Maggie Wilkens, Kim, Keith, Zack and Alyssa Plute and Wiley and Ada Wasle; brother, Doug Plute. In addition to his parents, Marty was predeceased by his daughter, Nicole Marie McCloy. A special thank you to Dr.’s Pleasants and Korrapati, Transitions LifeCare home nurse, Cody Grabowski, Dr. Thompson and the wonderful staff on Wing B at Transitions LifeCare and the MPCU Dr.’s and nurses at UNC Memorial Hospital at Chapel Hill. Your excellent care and concern for Marty is deeply appreciated. A private service will be held by the immediate family.
