Mary Alice Carter

GARNER –Mary Alice Pumphrey Carter, 77, died Wednesday at her home. Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. Survivors include her daughters, Kenni Lassiter and husband, Jeff, Patty Marr and husband, Don; son, William H. Johnson (Billy Bob) ; grandsons, Jeffrey Lassiter, Jr. and wife, Erica, Christopher Lassiter, Aaron Marr, Evan Marr and Frank Marr; granddaughter, Maggie MaryNell Marr; great-grandchildren, Nani, Mia and Cooper Lassiter. She was preceded in death by father, K.T. Pumphrey and mother, Ann P Hudson; step-father, Bill Hudson; son, Robert Randolph Johnson, Jr.; husband, Hilbert Carter; sister, Barbara P. Byrd, and niece, Loretta Ann Byrd. Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of Wake County, 200 Petfinder Lane, Raleigh, NC 27603.
