Mary Ann Thompson

RICHMOND, Va. – Mary Ann Thompson, age 90, passed away Tuesday, September 28. She was born January 11, 1931 in Norfolk VA, daughter of the late Luther and Ola Chitty. Mary Ann enjoyed a good book, a good meal, and a good laugh. Her love of Jesus, family, and friends was the joy and comfort of her life. If you were loved by Mary Ann, you were blessed. We will miss her greatly. A funeral service will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Raleigh. Interment will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 5th, 2021 in Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. She is survived by her loving family which includes her daughters, Roberta Melendez and husband, Bill, of Mansfield, TX, Rebecca Autore and husband, Jeryll, of Zebulon, NC; son, Keith Thompson of Fort Lauderdale, FL; sister, Martha Didot of Richmond, VA; brother, Aubrey Chitty of Greenville, NC; grandchildren, Hanna Moericke (Zack), Andrew Peace, Lauren Minard (Andy), Julie Autore, Brooke Ipock (David); and her great-grandchildren, Indiana, Abel, Clark, Kaitlyn, and Ryan.
