Mary Eloise Lee Godwin Smith

Angier - Mary Eloise Lee Godwin Smith, 92, passed away on Tuesday. A native of Johnston County she was the daughter of the late J. Telfair Lee and Aldonia Morgan Lee. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church on Bud Lipscomb Road, Willow Spring with burial to follow in the church cemetery.Mrs. Smith is survived by daughters, Judith Godwin Tyndall and husband, Bryant of Willow Spring, Nancy S. Stancil and husband, Lester, and Melba Smith all of Angier; sons, Glenn D. Godwin and wife, Theresa of Sun Lakes, AZ. Michael L. Smith and wife, Betsy of Bladenboro, Dwight D. Smith and wife, Brenda of Norman, OK; son-in-law, Claude Hedgepeth: twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-four great-grand children and seven great-great grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. Smith, son, Joel H. Smith, daughter, Patricia S. Hedgepeth, infant daughter, Linda Lee Godwin; grandsons, Kenneth Godwin and Jimmy Hedgepeth;granddaughter, Peggy A. Hedgepeth ;great granddaughter, Sarah A. Tyndall and Henry D.
