Mary Frances Brown

RALEIGH - Mary Frances Brown, 97, of Raleigh died Monday at home. She was born in Raleigh, NC and is the daughter of the late Nathaniel Gordon Bailey and Lillie May Adams Bailey.

Frances grew up in West Raleigh where she attended Mt. Vernon Goodwin Elementary School and graduated from Needham B. Broughton High School. She married her husband of 50 years Albert Paul Brown in 1958. They are survived by two daughters Paula Annette Brown of Raleigh and Karen Marie Brown of Anchorage, AK. They were her greatest joy throughout her long and well-lived life. She retired from the NC Department of Revenue where she enjoyed many years of work and made many good friends.

For many years she and her husband enjoyed extensive travel within his Masonic Lodge and with their closest friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her two brothers, and her two sisters.
