Mary Jane Coppedge

Mary Jane Crook Coppedge passed away peacefully on January 28, 2022 at Transitions Hospice Care home in Raleigh with her son, Randy and daughter-in-law, Carolyn by her side. A native of Cary, NC, Mary Jane was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years Bill Coppedge and her parents Howard Pleasant Crook and Norma Beal Crook. She retired from the N.C. Department of Transportation with over 30 years service. Mary Jane was a beautiful, caring, generous and young at heart mother and mother-in-law, daughter, sister and aunt. She loved her family deeply and hosted many holiday and special occasion gatherings for family at her home. She and Bill enjoyed many years dancing together, spending time at their beach house and traveling. She also enjoyed seeing her high school classmates at their reunions throughout the years. She loved animals and especially their golden retriever Molly. GARNER - Mary Jane is survived by her son, Randy Coppedge and wife Carolyn; brother, George Crook and wife, Joyce and their daughter, Denise Hawse and niece, Becky Allen. In addition to her parents and husband, Mary Jane was predeceased by her brothers Bob and Bill Crook. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 4, 2022 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner, NC. The family will greet friends from 12:45-1:45 at the funeral home prior to the service. Masks and social distancing are recommended. Randy and Carolyn would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living Greensboro and especially Transitions Hospice Home Raleigh.
