Mary Joan Johnston

Mary Joan Johnston, 53, of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, passed away after a long illness on July 7, 2017. Born June 24, 1964, in Warren, Ohio, Mary was the daughter of the late Joan & John Dudiak.  She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Barry Johnston & Mikal Stapleton. She leaves behind to mourn her four sons, Ryan Stapleton, Patrick Stapleton, Connor Johnston & Jordan Johnston. In addition to her sons, she is survived by her brothers, Jon & Steve Dudiak, & sister, Nancy Hibbs, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & cousins. Mary was a 1982 graduate of Fort Hill High School in Cumberland, Maryland.  She worked for several years in the hospitality industry, where she made many cherished friends who will mourn her deeply. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 23rd, at 3:00 PM, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC.
