Mary Lou Benevento

Garner – Mary Lou Benevento, 80, went to her heavenly home, on Sunday, May 14, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. A native of Kings County, New York, Mary Lou was born October 21, 1942, to the late Philip and Sophie DiBlasi.

Mrs. Benevento was a doting wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, loving aunt and a dear friend to many. Her legacy will never be forgotten and will continue to live on. She always said that God used as an instrument and that is why he kept her here so long.

A celebration of Mary Lou’s life will be on June 1, 2023 at 3:00 pm at St. Ann Catholic Church, 4057 US-70 BUS, Clayton, NC 27520. The family will receive family & friends at Brick & Mortar Events, 217 Main St. Clayton NC after the church service until 8PM to continue the celebration of Mrs. Benevento’s life.

Mary Lou is survived by two daughters, Connie Lillie (Chuck) and Nancy Benevento (Rob); grandson, Patrick Lillie; brother, Phillip DiBlasi (Janice).

In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband Vincent Nicholas Benevento and her brother Frank DiBlasi.
