Mary Lou Peed Smith

ANGIER– Mary Lou Peed Smith, 81, passed away on Friday at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh. A native of Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late, James “Lennie” Peed and Carphene Tudor Peed. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 7th at 2:00 PM at Kennebec Baptist Church, Angier. Burial will follow at Sandy Grove Cemetery, Angier. The family will receive friends Saturday, October 6th from 6:00-8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Mary Lou is survived by her sons, Alan Honeycutt and wife, Jane of Apex, Scott Honeycutt and wife, Debra of Lillington; daughters, Kristy Baker and husband, Rudy of Four Oaks, LuAnne McLamb and husband, Andy of Fuquay-Varina; stepsons, Mike Smith and wife, Regina, Timmy Smith and wife, Tara, Brian Smith and wife, Cathy; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four step grandsons; sister, Julia Gray Owen of Angier; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Jimmy C. Honeycutt, Benton Wiggins and Harold Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kennebec Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1690 Angier, NC 27501 in Mary Lou’s memory.
