Mary "Maggie" Margaret Smale

WILLOW SPRING – Mary “Maggie” Margaret Smale, 37, passed away January 3, 2022. Born in Wake County, she is the daughter of Alan and Anne Safrit. Maggie was a loving mother and wife. Maggie always put her family and kids first in all situations. Maggie's life was lived to the fullest with her husband and two children. She was kind and caring to anyone who ever crossed her path. Her spirit and beautiful smile would turn the darkest day into sunshine. Maggie graduated from Garner Senior High School with Honors. She went on to attend Wake Technical College to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Development. She worked with disabled adults at Wake Enterprises. Maggie was also a teacher at Earnest Myatt Presbyterian Church Pre-School. Maggie was also a dedicated teacher at Saint Andrews United Methodist Church, of which she was a member of as well. Maggie is preceded in death by her grandparents, Judson Enloe, Norma Safrit, and Mary Margaret Juboor Enloe. Maggie is survived by her husband and beautiful children, Joshua Daniel Smale; son, Jaxon Daniel Smale; daughter, Bexley Star Smale; sister, Victoria Lynne Townsend and husband, Josh Townsend; nieces, Scarlett Blaire Townsend, Ava Marie Townsend, Emma Acres, Audrey Eve Smale, Averlyn Smale, Kaylynn Smale, Kadence Smale, Cira Smale; nephews, Colton James Townsend, Jakob Waylon Smale, Justin Craig Smale, Jered Colin Young, Ethan Daniel Young, Aiden Acres; aunt, Mary Enloe, Caren Enloe; uncle, John Enloe; grandparents, Bill & Linda Safrit; cousins, Caroline Enloe and Garrett Enloe; and her beloved canine companion, Sir Marshall Smale. ISAIAH 40:31 "BUT THEY THAT WAIT ON THE LORD SHALL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH, THEY SHALL MOUNT UP WITH WINGS AS EAGLES; THEY SHALL RUN AND NOT BE WEARY AND THEY SHALL WALK AND NOT FAINT." AND IF I GO AND PREPARE A PLACE FOR YOU. I WILL COME AGAIN AND RECEIVE YOU UNTO MYSELF; THAT WHERE I AM, THERE YE MAY BE ALSO.” UNTIL WE MEET OUR SWEET MAGGIE AGAIN A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 12th, 2022, at 2:00 pm, at Benson Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family for a time of visitation at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner from 5:00 pm -8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 11th, 2022, the night prior to the service.
