Mary Reynolds Games

April 25, 1943 - February 3, 2012 GARNER - Mary Reynolds Games, 68, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away last Friday in the comfort of her own home. Born in Georgetown, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Cecil M. Reynolds and Vera Dews Reynolds. For over 30 years, Mary was known as 'the second mother' for so many young children as they were nurtured in her loving care as both the director and lead preschool teacher of Games Day Care in Garner. She is survived by her daughters, Tina M. Games of Alexandria, Virginia (and husband, Simon), Cassie J. Games of Garner; and sons, William M. Games (and wife, Tammy), and Timothy M. Games (and fiance, Jennifer); and by four beautiful grandchildren, Spencer Evans, Bryce Games, Holly Evans, and Brent Games. She is also survived by her sister, Evelyn Reynolds Williamson, and her brother, Wayne Reynolds. She was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Reynolds Atkinson and her brother, William (Billy) Reynolds. Visitation will be 3:00-4:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 pm, on Saturday, February 11 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home; 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Smart Start, a North Carolina non-profit organization that embodies Marys passion for children and early childhood education.
