ANGIER – Mathilda Wadsworth Ogburn, 84, passed away Saturday. A native of Sampson County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Henry and Veleura Hollowell Wadsworth. Mathilda is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Robbins and husband, Richard of Angier; sons, Michael Ogburn and wife, Christy of Sanford, Henry Ogburn of Angier; grandchildren, Matthew Robbins and wife, Cristina of Angier, Kelly Robbins of Angier, Morgan, Dixie, and Johnny Barnes of Sanford; great-grandson, Isaiah Robbins of Angier. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Staley Ogburn; brothers, Daniel, Hylton, and Carlton Wadsworth. Mathilda will lie in state on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 1:00-5:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier for anyone that would like to see her and sign the register. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Plainview Presbyterian Church, Angier. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
