Mavis Ann Green

Mavis Ann Tart Green, 78, of Garner, passed away, April 13, 2024. A native of Vance County, Ann was born July 1, 1945 to the late Odell and Inez Clark Tart. Ann worked for the NCSU Agricultural Department for many years before retiring. She was always the caregiver of her family and lived for the babies, always making sure to be the first in line to hold them when the chance arose. She loved trips with her family and friends, and was a huge fan of Elvis.

A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 3pm, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 6020 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, NC 27610.

The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Monday, April 15, 2024, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.

Ann is survived by her daughter, Debra Mills Holloway and husband, Brian; grandchildren, Logan and Megan Mills and Alex and Ashley Green; great grandchildren, Natalie Mills, Zoey Green, (and Violet Marley, on the way); sister, Bess Tart Parham and husband, Robbie; brother-in-law, Billy Thomas; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her son, Dell Green and a sister, Wanda Tart Thomas.
