Melba Caudle Lauver

GARNER – Melba C. Lauver, born September 23, 1938, went to be with her Lord and Savior in the early morning hours of Friday, July 28, 2017. Melba accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior during a revival at Friendship Baptist Church in Elkin, North Carolina in the summer of 1948. Melba attended Garner Free Will Baptist Church for many years; in recent years her attendance was limited due to health reasons. Melba was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Lee Caudle and Necie Baldwin Caudle; son, Barry W. Martin of Virginia Beach, VA; brothers, Herbert Caudle, Benny Caudle, Barry Caudle; and by her sisters, Jackie Long, Sarah Caudle and Shirley McCoin. Surviving are her husband, Henry F. Lauver of Garner, NC; daughters, Linda Ladd and husband, Steve of Martinsburg, WV, Cheryl Moore and husband, Mike of Mechanicsville, MD, Sue Koss and husband, Mark of Seymour, TN; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kim Martin; and by her brother-in-law, Robert H. Lauver and wife, Sue of Selinsgrove, PA. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Garner Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church from 10:00 until 11:00 am at the church prior to the service.
