ZEBULON- Melinda Pleasant Earp Nava-Rios, age 50, passed away Saturday in her sleep. Born in Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Donald Rand Pleasant and Miriam Lynch Burgess. Melinda had a special place in her heart for children and the elderly and made it a career by providing care for them. She was a member of C-3 Church in Clayton, where she was saved and baptized. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday afternoon at the Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, in Garner, NC. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7:00-9:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home. Survivors include her husband, Jose Nava-Rios of Zebulon; son, Devan Earp of Zebulon; daughter, Shania Oyler of Youngsville; sister, Donna Reisser of Smithfield; niece, Amber Castleberry of Smithfield; cousin, Angela Walton Enciso-Alvarez of Willow Springs; best friend, Lori Benton Stikeleather of Fuquay-Varina; and special friends, Saul, Patty and Brittney Cruz of Clayton.
