Merle Snipes Ward

Merle Snipes Ward 89, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family, Thursday May 1, from congestive heart failure. She was born in Goldsboro, NC to the late James Edward Snipes and Mini Elizabeth Snipes. She was preceded in death by her husband JosephThomas Ward Sr. and son Joseph Thomas Ward Jr. and survived by sons Pat, Clay (wife Kathy) daughter Kim Holderfield (husband Davey) grandchildren Graymon, Cameron, Jesse, Emily, brother Don sister Gail and an abundance of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 10 at 2 pm at West Raleigh Presbyterian Church, 27 Horne St., Raleigh NC followed by visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the S.P.C.A. Aspecial thanks to Heartland Hospice.
