In loving memory of Michael Anthony Leeladhar Singh.
Michael was born on March 21, 1942, living to the age of 81 and returned home to be with our Lord, peacefully on January 21, 2024. Michael was the son of the late Rajkalie (Jagdai) Sampat and Daljit Singh and the brother of Neela Ramdeen and Tularam "Madho". . He was born and raised in No2 Village, East Canie, Berbice, Guyana. He exemplified unwavering devotion as a son and radiated love as a brother. He bestowed caring affection upon his nieces, and nephew: Aruna, Natasha, Marilyn, and the late Ghavri Ramsaywack.
During the formative years of his life, he committed himself wholeheartedly to the noble profession of teaching. In his commitment to education, Michael harbored a profound ardor for agriculture and spent much of his free time researching various aspects related to the field.
His connection with nature was complemented by his avid love for reading, which enriched his life and those around him. He also enjoyed classical music & witty humor. Guided by a deep passion for the Lord, Michael's multifaceted interests left a lasting impact on the lives he touched. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
Michael spent the last seven years of his life living in comfort & under the loving care of his eldest niece Aruna. Michael is survived by his sister: Neela, his nieces: Aruna, Natasha & Marilyn, his great nephews: Zachary & Jonathan, great nieces: Jaelah-Brielle, Emilie & Jordyn, his aunt: Jem, his uncle Giro, his cousins: Shani, Herman & Rena, as well as many other cousins and relatives, who will continue to cherish his memory.
Additionally, he leaves a lasting impact on those who were part of his life, fostering connections through his love for Christ, family, education agriculture, and the joy of reading. His legacy lives on through the hearts of those he touched & a life guided by a deep passion for the Lord leaving a lasting impact on those around him.
A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC, on Thursday, January 25th at 10:00 pm. Graveside burial immediately following the service at Historic Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh, NC. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home.
