Michael Glenn Brown

GARNER – Michael Glenn Brown, 67, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024. A longtime resident of Wake Co., he was the son of the late Mynor and Lillie Beasley Brown.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Gail Waters Brown; daughter, LeAnn Gardner and husband Brandon of Willow Spring; son, Steven Brown and wife Kala of Garner; grandchildren, Glenn, Lannden, Cole and Levi.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Brown.

A retired police officer with the Town of Garner Police Department, Mike began his service in 1982 and devoted over two decades to the force before retiring in 2005. His passion for his job was evident in his everyday interactions; he upheld the principle of treating others as he wished to be treated, embodying the values of fairness and respect throughout his career. Mike's unwavering commitment and compassionate approach left a lasting impact on the community he served so faithfully.

The family will receive friends Sunday, August 25, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, August 26, 2024, at Highland Baptist Church, 8524 Crowder Road, Garner, NC 27529. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 12830 US 70 Business Hwy W, Clayton, NC 27520.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Garner Baseball, Inc. or to Wake Christian Academy Annual Fund, 5500 Wake Academy Drive, Raleigh, NC 27603.
