Michael “Mike” Gebhard, Sr.

Michael J. Gebhard Sr., 74, died Tuesday, August 9, 2016 surrounded by family and friends at Transitions Lifecare in Raleigh, NC.  He was born in Easton, PA on December 22, 1941 to the late Walter and Evelyn Gebhard.  He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Gebhard of Garner, NC; son Michael Gebhard Jr. (Lucie) of Garner, NC; daughter Julianne Stalker (Mike) of Plainfield, IL; brother Don Gebhard (Marlene); sisters Linda McClain, Janice Michaels, Kathy Ricker (Jim) and Irene Gavin; grandchildren Tavian Bradley, Gibson Gebhard, Benjamin Stalker and Keira Stalker. Mike conquered oceans as a scuba diver and mountains as an avid skier.  He was delighted by children and never lost his sense of wonder.  His golf game, however, remained terrible.  He leaves a space too big to fill. Services are private and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Transitions Lifecare in Raleigh.
