The Memorial Service is tentatively scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM at the new location.*** GARNER – Michael “Mikey” Hewitt, Jr., age 19, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Monday, July 1, 2019 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner. The family will receive friends and relatives at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Mikey was born in Wake County on September 25, 1999. He was a natural athlete, racing BMX nationally and then playing soccer at West Johnston High School, where he graduated in 2017. Mikey was loved by so many and was known for his kind and gentle heart. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him in the days ahead. Mikey was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles William Hewitt; and an uncle, Charles W. Hewitt, Jr. He is survived by his parents, Michael and Jennifer Hewitt; sister, Emma Hewitt; daughter, Jade Alise Hewitt; maternal grandparents, Peggy Daly and husband, Edward of Garner, Robert Welch and wife, Debbie of Queensbury, NY; paternal grandmother, Patricia Hewitt and Ray Smith of Saratoga Springs, NY; aunts, Kristina Gentile and husband, Brad, Traci Wilson, Carol Hewitt; cousins, Griffin and Jack Gentile, Jason Masten, Alex, Victoria, and Taylor Wilson, Jordan and C.J.
