Michael Todd Meador, 48, passed away suddenly on May 13, 2015. Michael was born in Newport News, VA on March 3, 1967. He was the funniest person on earth, bar none and was larger than life! His stories and antics will be remembered in our hearts and minds forever. A member of Garner United Methodist Church, he was the biggest fan of Garner High School athletic and music programs. Michael was loved and admired by all, young and old but especially by the youth of the community, as recently proven by the number of teens in his home after prom. He was also creator, producer and director of the “Kids Got Talent” show! A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:30 pm Saturday, May 16th at Garner United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends following the service in the Christian Life Center. Michael is survived his beloved wife, Barbara Thwaites Meador and his pride and joys, Maxwell James Meador and Makaela Grace Meador; his mother, Carole Corbin Meador Honeycutt and husband, Stephen; brothers, Charles Dee “Chuck” Meador and wife, Roni , James “Andy” Meador and wife, Andrea and his sister, Vicki Meador Montgomery-Highsmith and husband, Tommy. He was preceded in death by his father, James William Meador, Jr. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to GMHS Chorale Dept. or GMHS Trojan Club.
