Michael Walker

GARNER – Michael Walker, 66, passed away unexpectedly on August 12, 2024. A native of Garner, North Carolina, he was the son of the late James Allen Walker, and Doris Marie Jones Walker.

In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his aunt, Sandra Abrams Jones, all of whom Michael loved very dearly.

Michael was a loving husband, father, and brother. In 1997 he founded A&M Heating and Air which became his life’s work and passion. He retired in 2023 after serving his community for over 26 years. The legacy that he left behind will carry on for many years to come through his company and the lives of the people he touched throughout his life. He will be remembered fondly by his family and friends as a man of great integrity, compassion, and strength.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Sonya Hurley Walker; daughters, Sara Elizabeth Jones and husband, Brady Andrew Jones, and Catherine (Katie) Marie Walker; brothers, Richard Allen Walker, Tony Dale Walker, and David Scott Walker. He will also be remembered fondly by many close friends and family.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529. The family will receive friends for a period of visitation an hour prior to the service from 12:00 PM – 12:45 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 12830 US 70 Business HWY W, Clayton, NC 27520.
