Michael Wayne Mike Williams

WILLOW SPRING- Michael Wayne Mike Williams, 59, died Saturday at his home. Born in Louisville, KY, he was the son of the late Ernest Lee Williams and is survived by his mother, Laura Williams. Mr. Williams retired from the NC Highway Patrol as a Radio Engineer. He attended Calvary Chapel in Apex and was active in the One Step Program. Mr. Williams was a member of Plymouth Church where he was a deacon and ran the sound system. He was a dedicated father and grandfather who cherished his family and worked hard to provide for them. He was known for his big heart and his sense of humor. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday at Plymouth Church, Raleigh. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In addition to being survived by his mother, he is survived by his best friend and former wife, Julie Williams; two sons, Graham Williams and wife, Kelly, and Kendall Williams and girlfriend, Kimberly Moore; one sister, Carol Smith; two brothers, Gary Williams and Tim Williams; and three grandchildren, Haley, Jackson, and Zachary. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, from 6 to 8:30 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
