Mike Andrew Mitricska

Garner – Michael Andrew Mitricska, 68, passed away on October 23, 2022, after a courageous battle with colon cancer.

Mike was born June 2, 1954, in Elizabeth New Jersey, to the late John and Delores Flynn Mitricska. Mike spent 20 years working at the Home Depot in Garner, where he was affectionately known as “Mr Mike” or “Homer Depot”. He was also an avid member of the Neuse River Model Railroad Club. Mike loved his job and all of his coworkers and customers, but more than anything he loved his family.

A funeral service will be held Friday, October 28, 2022, at 10:30AM, in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, Garner. Burial at Historic Oakwood Cemetery will follow. The family will receive friends, Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 6-8PM at the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home.

Michael is survived by his fiancé, Pamela Barnes; sons, Sean Mitricska, Kenneth Mitricska, and Andrew Wandzel; stepdaughter, Jessica Faison Hodge (Madison); and several grandchildren, sisters, M. Eileen Mitricska, Jackie Mitricska Kellerhals (Luke), Jean Wilson Brooks (Perry), brothers, Robert and John Mitricska (Charlotte); as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
