ANGIER – Milton Durant Williams born December 16, 1930 to the late Earl D. Williams and Minnie Grace Stephenson Williams. Veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Airforce for four years, returning home to Angier he married his sweetheart Mary Morgan Williams. Milton was a skilled carpenter building many homes in the Angier, Cary, and Raleigh areas. He retired from Koger Properties in Raleigh. Milton farmed with his father, Earl and family as well as working outside the home. He loved fishing and deer hunting with friends, Johnny Mangum and Hersel Gilliam. He fished off the Surf City pier for many years into his retirement for King Mackerel. He loved Angier and was a good neighbor to his community serving as a Black River Fire Department Volunteer Fireman retiring after 40 plus years. He is a member of Angier United Methodist Church. Milton believed in the Holy Trinity, the virgin birth, the crucifixion, the resurrection, salvation, and the forgiveness of sins through our Lord Jesus Christ. He entered eternal peace on the night of August 12, 2022 at 91 years old. Milton is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Williams; son, “Tony” Anthony Durant Williams and wife Pam of Angier; daughter, Jamie Williams Bragg and husband Vann; granddaughter, Mary Louise Bragg; grandson, David Durant-Vann Bragg all of Franklinton. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Angier United Methodist Church. Burial will follow the service at Angier Memorial Cemetery. Milton is preceded in death by daughter, Constance Faith Williams.
