RALEIGH - Milton Osborne Dixon, 73, went home to be with Jesus early Wednesday morning. He was born in Raleigh to the late Walter and Evelyn Dixon. He was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother Walt Dixon and younger brother Ricky Dixon.
Milton graduated from Enloe High School and then joined the U.S. Army Reserves. He enjoyed owning his business as an interior trim carpenter for many homes in the greater Raleigh area. He was a recipient of a donor heart in 2014 and gave back as an organ donor.
Milton was happiest spending time with his family at all the large family gatherings. He loved going to home shows and classic car shows with his beautiful wife. He enjoyed going on beach vacations with family and going to as many seafood restaurants as possible.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Faye Dixon of 51 years; Daughter Sheila Scott and husband Kevin of Texas with children Rachel Stutler and husband Nic, Garrett Scott, Erin Scott, Kelly Hutnan, Megan Hutnan and Emily Hutnan. Son Jason Dixon and wife Donita with children Kassidy Schmitt and husband Adam, Jacob Dixon; Daughter Lori Kelly and husband Kevin with children Phebe Kelly and James Kelly; Sister Diane Dixon; Aunt Margie Price along with nieces, nephews and many cousins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday November 30, 2022, from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm at Bryan Lee Funeral Home in Raleigh, NC. A graveside service will immediately follow at 2:00 pm at Historic Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh, NC.
