Garner– Minnie Lee Hobby Langley, 84, passed away on Tuesday at Transitions LifeCare Hospice in Raleigh. Born in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Cecil Thomas and Blanche Elizabeth Johnson Hobby. Minnie was an active member of New Bethel Baptist Church, The Order of the Eastern Star, and retired from the NC Dept. of Agriculture with over 35 years of service.
The family will receive friends, Friday, December 9th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 10th at 2:00 pm at New Bethel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Surviving: her husband of 65 years, Thelbert Eugene Langley; daughter, Vicki Langley Scott and husband, Jeff of Apex and son, Todd Eugene Langley and wife, Patty of Garner; her precious grandchildren: Elizabeth Lee Scott of Apex, Skylar Mackenzie Langley and Caleb Wayne Langley, both of Garner, a sister-in-law, Ruby B. Hobby of Garner.
Minnie was preceded in death by her siblings, Virginia Messer, Evelyn Powell, Helen Britt, Thomas Hobby, Clara Ennis, Gerald Hobby and Kay Hobby.
