WILLOW SPRING – Miriam (Mimi) Woodard Everett, 67, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, lost her battle with lupus at Rex Hospital on May 23rd, 2019. Miriam was the daughter of William (Woody) Woodard and Daisy Harrison Woodard of Garner. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 28th from 6-8 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner. Funeral Services will be held at McCullers Community Baptist Church at 133 Rand Rd. Raleigh, NC 27603 on Wednesday, May 29th at 3pm. Miriam is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, J.D. Everett of Willow Spring; son and daughter-in-law Jody and Samantha Everett of Garner; daughter, Karen Everett of Clayton; grandchildren, Ava and Ella Everett and Nicholas Hughes; sisters and brothers-in-law Betsy and Max Garris and Jean and Cecil Holcomb of Raleigh; sister-in-law Jane Moore of Fayetteville; as well as many nieces and nephews. Miriam is preceded in death by her parents. Miriam was courageous and strong during her long fight with lupus. She loved her chocolate lab, Frank (aka The Brat), all things flamingo, the beach, her best friend Connie Johnson, her family, friends, and neighbors. She was loved by all whom she met and had a feisty spirit that kept everyone on their toes. She will be truly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, donations to Peak Lab Rescue, P.O. Box 2184 Apex, NC 27502, are appreciated.
