Mollie Alice Rasor

July 20, 1943 — December 13, 2021

Mollie Powell Rasor of Cary, NC passed away on December 13, 2021 at Transitions Hospice Home in Raleigh. She had been battling cancer for the past two years. Mollie was born in Raleigh, and other than a brief period in Cullowhee, NC, lived in the Triangle her entire life. She graduated from N.B. Broughton High School in 1961 and attended St. Mary’s College for a year before marrying her husband, Jim. Mollie completed her education at Western Carolina University with a B.S. in Business Administration. She worked with Jim as the Business Manager of their advertising agency Rasor & Rasor, as the Executive Director of the NC Veterinary Medical Association, and after “retirement”, as a principal of Meetings Plus More!, a meeting planning company. Mollie is survived by her son Lee and daughter-in-law Cristina of Fuquay Varina, her sister Patty and her brother Bill, as well as many other close relatives. Mollie was preceded in death by her husband Jim, son Greg, parents William and Thelma Powell, and sister JoAnne. A very special thank you to all the staff at Transitions for their kind and gentle care of Mollie. A service will be held at Christ Church on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 1:30 pm.
