Myron Uzzle Tuttle

Myron Uzzle Tuttle, 91, passed away peacefully July 2, 2012. 'Bud' as he was fondly called, was born September 8, 1920, in Gastonia, NC to the late Herbert C. and Ruth Tuttle.He joined the US Navy during WWII, serving in the Pacific at Guam. He married an Oxford girl, Margaret Eakes at age 20.They hadone son, Robert Myron. Bud was an electrician and opened Tuttle Appliance Company in Louisburg andRaleigh, on Person Street,where he and his wife Margaret worked until retiring in 1985. He was an avid golfer playing into his 80s. Hehad over 60 years of service as a Mason. He enjoyed being with family,traveling, watching golf andbasketball and beingoutdoors.Bud was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Margaret Eakes Tuttle, their son, Robert Myron Tuttle, his wife, Beth Keel Tuttle, four brothers, HC, Don, Richard and Bill Tuttle. Surviving to cherish his memory are his granddaughter, Margaret Tuttle Powell, her husband Grey, three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Cole and Annabeth Powell,brother George Tuttle andhis wife Collette, brother Charlie Tuttle andhis wife Cindy,only sister Louise Bowling, many neices and nephews, The Heath family, and friends. He will be greatly missed and remembered as a gentleman who warmed the hearts of those he met.Services to honor his memory will be held Friday, July 6that Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Rd., Raleigh, NC. Visitation will begin at 10 am, followed by the service at 11 am. Private burial for the family will follow.Those who wish to remember Bud with a memorial are asked to make gifts in his name to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
