Nancy Ann Chase

November 21, 1942 — February 10, 2024

Nancy Chase, 81, was welcomed into her heavenly home by Jesus on February 10, 2024. She was surrounded by her loving family and peacefully entered the arms of her “Big Marine.”

Nancy was born November 21, 1942, in Ellenville, New York, to Richard and Dorothy Chase. She grew up in this area where she met the love of her life, her husband of 45 years, Donald Chase. Don and Nancy made their home in several states, including New York, Illinois, and North Dakota, and eventually settled permanently in North Carolina in 1992.

For over 30 years, Nancy worked as an operating room nurse. She always put others first and loved spending time with her family. Nancy felt most at peace listening to the sounds of ocean waves. While on vacation, she could often be found collecting sea shells.

Nancy passed on a love for cooking and baking. She also enjoyed reading, counted cross stitch, and spending quiet time with Jesus.

Nancy will always be remembered as a woman who put faith and family first.

Nancy will be greatly missed by the family she has left behind. She is survived by her children, Scott Chase (Terri) of Bloomington, Indiana; Aimee Parham (James) of Clayton, North Carolina; Betsi Keltz (Matthew) of Viera, Florida; Daniel Chase of Franklinton, North Carolina; Mary Chase of Waco, Texas; Glory Allen (Benjamin) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Deborah Smith (Robert) of Clayton, North Carolina; and daughter-in-law Julie Chase (Richard) of Wewahitchka, Florida. She also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved immensely.

Awaiting her in heaven were her parents, Richard and Dorothy Chase, her “Big Marine” husband, Donald Chase, her son Richard Chase, son-in-law Jon Deal, and daughter-in-law Bobbi Chase.
