Raleigh - Nancy Davis Robbins passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Nancy was born April 20, 1934. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jackson Robbins, and her mother, Penninah Parrish Davis Duke, and stepfather, Horace Raymond Duke of Louisburg, NC, and special friends Poly Carlson of Fuquay and Linda Flowers Bunn of Raleigh. She is survived by her daughter Penni Jackson Robbins Boone (husband Brandon), sisters Carolyn Gregory of Richmond (husband Marvin), sister Peggy Carter of Raleigh (husband Harold). She is also survived by many nephews and nieces: Brad and Laura Gregory of Greensboro, NC, and their children Davis and Peter; Michelle and Dwight Graham of Richmond, VA, and their daughter Meredith; Jon and Christina Carter of New York, NY; and Dan and Jennifer Carter, and their children Brielle and Emery of Raleigh. Nancy attended Louisburg College. Her professional career began at Burlington Industries as an administrative assistant. Later, Nancy was an adviser and administrator in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at NC State University. In her retirement, Nancy served as office administrator for JH Carter, Builder, Inc. She was a longtime member of Hickory Rock Baptist Church in Louisburg as well as Millbrook United Methodist Church in Raleigh.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday March 31, at Lancaster Memorial Park in Louisburg. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday April 1, at Millbrook United Methodist Church in Raleigh. There will be a reception to follow. Memorials may be made to Millbrook United Methodist Church. Nancy Robbins will be missed. She was a stranger to no one and a friend to all. Arrangements by Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Raleigh
