Nancy Evelyn Krause

Nancy Evelyn Cleave Krause passed away on Friday, April 28, 2023. Nancy was born in Clarks Green, Pennsylvania, to the late Frank, Jr. and Evelyn Stanton Cleave.

Survivors include her daughters, Donna Davis (Billy), of Garner, Darlene Krause, of Clayton; sons, Dean Krause (Debbie), of Magnolia and Dennis Krause (Susan), of Castilia; brother, Keith Krause (Marie), of Florida; grandchildren, Brian Krause, Timothy Davis, Justin Krause, Jason Krause, Russell Davis and Ashley Mace; and great-grandchildren, Dezmond, Riley, Haylie, Aubrey, Ayla, Reagan, Emery, Evelyn,and Atlas.

Nancy was never happier then when she was taking care of her family and her home. She always had to be busy, she loved to crochet, bake, sew and any kind of crafting. Her favorite thing was being with her grandchildren and baking cookies. For the grandkids and the family dogs. They needed homemade cookies too! She was always so excited when a new Great grandchild was announced. She was a strong and loving role model who will be greatly missed, but is now home with her husband.

A private family dinner to celebrate her life will be scheduled in the coming weeks. Nancy and her beloved husband John will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery when scheduling permits.

In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the SECU Hospice House, 426 Hospital Road Smithfield, NC 27577.
