Nancy Kay White

Raleigh – Nancy “Kay” White, age 75, passed away peacefully at her home on January 30, 2022. She was born on November 6, 1946, in Milford, Delaware. Kay was married to her husband, Edwin White, on June 19, 1967, in Kinston, North Carolina. They have one son, William Edwin White, and his wife Dawn, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Kay and Edwin relocated to Raleigh in 1973. Kay served three churches in her 48-year ministry including 30 years at her present church, Carolina Pines Baptist. Kay had a big heart and cared especially for people in need. She was always thinking of others and how she could help them. Children held a special place in her heart and her face would light up when she was around them. She also had a deep concern for the elderly and check on them regularly. Perhaps her greatest love was sending and receiving cards. There is no way to even know how many cards she sent out in her lifetime. She just had a love for people and was loved by many herself. Kay had a great love for sports and especially enjoyed watching her son, Will, play baseball in Garner and basketball at Wake Christian Academy. Kay was a born-again Christian, loved the Lord with all her heart, and had a great desire to serve and worship her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed by her family, her friends and her church family. A memorial service will be held at Carolina Pines Baptist Church, Raleigh, on February 2, 2022, at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends and family with a visitation at 1:00 PM, prior to the service. Burial will be held at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh, on February 3, 2022, at 9:00 AM. Memorials can be given in Kay’s memory to Carolina Pines Baptist Church.
