Nannie Lou Becker

FUQUAY-VARINA – Nannie Lou Walker Becker, 83, went to Heaven early Wednesday morning at her home. Born in Wake County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Russel and Edna Mae Wilson Walker.

Nannie Lou grew up in Apex, NC and attended Apex High School, a member of the class of 1958. Being a U.S. Navy wife, she lived in many places throughout the U.S. and abroad and her three beloved children were all born in Morocco, Africa.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 23rd, at 3:00 pm at Salem Baptist Church, 1821 N. Salem Street, Apex, NC. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm prior to the service at the church.

Nannie is survived by her children, Jimmy “Glenn” Holleman (Josie) of Atlanta, GA, Rachel Holleman Price (Coley) of Angier; sister, Faye Tindal (Eddy) of Apex; sisters-in-law, Nancy Walker of Apex, Annette Walker of Cary; her grand-dog, Journey; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Becker; Jimmy A. Holleman, the father of her children; daughter, Terrie Lynn Holleman; sister, Judith Reynolds; brothers, William Russell “Pete” Walker, and Charles Norwood Walker; her grand-dogs, Sydney, Mattie, and Pete.

The family would like to thank Nannie’s caregivers for the loving care and kindness they showed her. She was deeply blessed by each of them.
