Nannie Rae Evans

Nannie Rae Stone Evans, 100, of Garner passed away peacefully on June 28, 2023. A native of Garner, Nannie was born November 19, 1922 to the late Wis S. and Nannie Lee Baily Stone. In addition to her parents, Nannie was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie W. Evans; sisters, Belle Walton, Clara Perry and Dollie Stirewalt; brothers, Leonard Stone and Willard Stone; and granddaughter, Lisa Michelle Moss Duncan.

Nannie is survived by her daughter, Jacquelyn Evans and Dwight Moss; son, Wayne and Debbie Allsbrook Evans; grandchildren, Jeremy and Marie Morris Moss, Randy and Rachel Ivey Moss, Laura Evans and Evan Hutton, and Joshua and Kristi Shipman Evans; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Moss, Ethan Moss, Jackson Moss, Eli Moss, Rebecca and Taylor Blanton, Tyler Duncan, Gabriel Hutton, Gracie Hutton, Peyton Evans and Chace Evans; and great-great-grandchildren, Raelyn Blanton, Charlotte “Charlie” Blanton and Lincoln Blanton.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at Hayes Chapel Christian Church, 315 E Garner Road, Garner, NC 27529. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of the service at the church.
