Naomi Harmon Cox

Naomi Harmon Cox, 95, passed away March 6, 2017. Naomi began working with the old Southern Bell at a time when tubs of ice and fans were in rooms to keep the operators cool and then retired from Bellsouth. She was a graduate of Needham Broughton High School in 1939. Naomi was  a native of Wake Co. and the daughter of the late Thomas and Janie Sorrell Harmon. There will be a Graveside Funeral Service at 1:00 PM Thursday March 9, at Montlawn Memorial Park- Mausoleum. The family will receive friends and relatives at the Mausoleum from 12 noon until 1 PM. In  addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hassie Cox, sisters; Olivia Cox and Nancy Riddle and brothers, Thomas and Edward Harmon. She is survived by her sisters, Annie Larsen and husband Ralph and Vallie Phillips and husband Grady; cousin Juanita Snow and husband Doug and nieces and nephews and other extended family.
