Naomi Jeanette Hord Thornton

Naomi Jeanette Hord Thornton (88), passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, October 28th. She was a loving wife to Robert Durward Thornton for 53 years until his death in 2006, and a devoted mother to Michael David Thornton (deceased in 2016) and Kenneth Dean Thornton of Greensboro. She is survived by her son, Kenneth Dean Thornton of Greensboro, grandchildren, David Robert Thornton of Wake Forest and Hannah Elise Thornton of Raleigh and many nieces and nephews. Jeanette was born in Reidsville and graduated from Reidsville High School. She was a homemaker and resided in Greensboro the majority of her life. She attended First Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking and gardening. A private burial will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro.
