Naomi Perry Autry

Naomi Autry passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023.

Graveside services will be held on February 6, 2023 at 2 PM at Montlawn Memorial Park in Raleigh NC. Family will receive visitors at home after the service at 504 Rand Rd Raleigh NC 27603.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Heath; granddaughter, Monica Logan (Adam), grandson, Nicholas Autry, Sr., 5 great grandchildren, and a large and loving extended family including many beloved nieces who always referred to her as their favorite aunt.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Autry, Sr., son, Earl Autry, Jr. and siblings, Joe, Bill, Hazel, and Sarah.

Naomi retired in 1993 from teaching 12th grade English at Millbrook High School in Wake County. In addition to being an avid bookworm who loved sudoku and word searches, she loved watching sister wives and Dr Phil and every game show known to man. She loved to stay busy and take care of everyone around her including her parents, siblings, friends, and anyone in need. Naomi never truly retired.

Naomi traveled as a military wife all over Europe teaching on military bases in France and Germany. One of her fondest memories was walking through Madurodam in Hauge Netherlands, watching her children fascinated by this tiny town.

After retirement she enjoyed taking her grandchildren to Kure and Myrtle Beach, spending most of the summer taking in the sun and ocean.
