Naomi Stokes Crumpler, 89, of Raleigh, passed away Sunday. A native of Baltimore County, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Raymon and Ida Langdon Stokes. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at Highland Baptist Church, Raleigh. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. She grew up in the Highlandtown section of Baltimore with her parents and 3 sisters. She was an 8th grade school teacher for years at Rhodhiss Elementary school in Rhodiss, NC as well a substitute teacher in the Baltimore County school system. Naomi was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She dedicated her life serving the Lord, her family and every church her husband was called to pastor in N.C. and Maryland. She is survived by her two sons, Rev. David Richard Crumpler and wife, Ruth Ellen Crumpler and Mark Stephen Crumpler and wife, Beverly Jackson Crumpler; grandchildren, Marshall Alexander Crumpler, John Stephen Crumpler, Mark Aaron Samosky and John Stuart Samosky; great-grandchildren, Jackson Parker Samosky, Benjamin Roland Samosky and Alora Nicole Samosky.
