Nelson Clyde Bumpie Smith

Angier - Nelson Clyde Bumpie Smith, 69, died Sunday October 26, 2014 at his home in Angier, NC with his family by his side. He was born September 3, 1945 in Alabama to the late Archie and Otha Mae Smith. He was a US Army veteran and served in Vietnam during which he received many medals including the Bronze Star.Memorial Services will be held Saturday November 1, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier.He is survived by his wife, Sandra Baker Smith of Angier; daughters, Lisa Guined and husband, Steve, Diana Smith all of Alabama, Tina Church of Tennessee; son, Clyde Wayne Bo Smith of Alabama; stepchildren, Amy Pope and husband, Michael of Willow Springss, Danny Altman of Holly Springs, David Altman and wife, Veronica, Beth Tingen, Jennifer Turner and husband, Chris and Rich Bravo all of Tennessee; brothers, Louie Smith, Thomas Pate, Jr., Robert Pate and Claude Pate all of Alabama; sisters, Willie Mae Smith, Betty Jean Porter, Susie Webster, Martha Ann Hayward, Bell Stevens, Cindy Clemons, Faye Fields, and Charlotte Pate all of Alabama; aunt, Joyce Daniel of Alabama; stepmother, Christina Smith of Alabama; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
