Raleigh - Norman Carlton Pendergraft, 69, passed away on Tuesday, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was the son of the late Wallace and Ruby Pendergraft. He retired as a project manager at RTI. Norman enjoyed his place at the beach, fishing and boating with his friends. He was a loving and caring man and always put the well-being of others before his own. He delivered food to Urban Ministries every month. He was an amazing husband and father. Surviving: wife, Laura Poole Pendergraft; son, Bryan Pendergraft; daughter, Angela Thoman and husband Chris; granddaughter, Zoe Thoman; brother, Joel Pendergraft; sisters, Carol Seagroves and Joan Ward; sisters-in-law, Teresa McDonald and Robin Poole; mother-in-law, Nancy Poole; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 27, at 2 PM at Samaria Baptist Church, 3621 Poole Road, Raleigh 27610. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made either to Samaria Baptist Church or to Urban Ministries of Wake County Food Bank, 1391 Capital Boulevard, Raleigh, NC 27603
