Norvell Denning

February 14, 1940 — April 1, 2015

Norvell Denning, 75, passed away April 1, 2015.  Norvell was a native of Sampson, Co and the son of the late Rudolph and Thelma Denning. Norvell worked for Jesse Jones selling processed foods. Norvell was a route salesman , selling Jesse Jones products for 32 years. He spent another 8 years working for Star Foods. After retirement he spent several years working for Tri-Venture in Lakeland, Fl. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter; Vicki Denning Jones and a brother, Elwood Denning. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday April 4, 2015 at Highland Baptist Church. Burial to follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife of 55 years; Rebecca Howell Denning; sons, Allen Denning (Ann), Scott Denning (Lesa); granddaughter, Ashley Denning Dunn (Wayne) and grandsons, Tad, Connor and Ryan Denning. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Flowers are welcome or contributions may be made to either Transitions LifeCare 250 Hospice Cr. Raleigh, NC or Highland Baptist Church 8524 Crowder Rd. Raleigh, NC 27603.
