Olav Reinertsen

Olav Ernest Reinertsen (Ernest Reinertsen) "Ernie Reinertsen", 84, of Garner, NC, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025 at the Laurels of Forest Glenn. He was born on September 15, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York to Olav and Thyra Reinertsen.

He is predeceased by his wife, Nancy Ruth (Lankford) Reinertsen and survived by his daughter Elsabeth (Reinertsen) Maka, his sons Scot Randal Reinertsen, Andrew Garth Reinertsen, Tor Olav Reinertsen, Joshua Noble Reinertsen and granddaughters Hannah Joy Maka, Rebekah Grace Maka, Abigail Faith Maka and grandsons Caleb Jeremiah Maka and Jackson Olav Reinertsen.

Ernie was a wood flooring contractor and a dedicated member of Long Hill Chapel in Chatham, NJ and Colonial Baptist Church (now Shepherd's Church) in Cary, NC. Ernie was known for his ability to talk to anyone and everyone. He was a big man who had a big heart and laugh. He loved playing with his children and grandchildren and made friends with almost anyone he ever met. He will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 2pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner, NC.
