Patricia Anne Welsh

June 6, 1933 - August 2, 2011Cary - On Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011, our beloved mother and grandmother, Patricia Anne Welsh Grandma Pat passed away suddenly at her home. She was the heart of our family and will be deeply missed by a large circle of loved ones and friends. An enormously loving and giving person, she now joins her husband, Robert Bernard Welsh, who predeceased her 25 years ago. She will be buried with him in Newport Beach, California.Patricia is survived by her four children, Gregory Welsh (Sarah) of Apex, Eric Welsh (Nancy) of Matthews, Karen Collins (Gerard) of Raleigh, Kathleen Welsh-Bohmer (Patrick) of Durham; eight grandchildren Elise, Scott, Taylor, Nicole, Daniel, Brenna, Nathan, and Stephen; brother, Hector Wilfred Bill Boncher (JoAnne) of California, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by her parents, John and Harriet Boncher, and her sister, Lynne Inge.Grandma Pat lived her life to the very fullest and had a tremendous sense of adventure.She stood on the Great Wall of China, climbed Machu Picchu, traveled throughout Europe, including Russia, but loved no place better than the Outer Banks of North Carolina when surrounded by family.She found strength in her faith and love of the Catholic Church and acted out her faith every day.Visitation at 9:00 am on Saturday, August 6th with Catholic Mass immediately following at 9:45 am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 11401 Leesville Road, Raleigh, NC.Burial and memorial service will occur on Tuesday, August 9th, at 2:30 PM at Pacific View Memorial Park in Newport Beach, California.Arrangements by Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Raleigh (919 832-8225) and condolences can be made on-line at http://www.bryan-leefuneralhome.com/.
